Privately Funded Aged Care

What is Privately Funded Aged Care at Home?

Many elderly Australians will have access to a Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) that is subsidised by the Government, but sometimes additional care is required that is not covered by the Government subsidy.

The CHSP is an entry level home help programme for older people who are mostly, but not completely, able to live and cope on their own and don’t yet need higher levels of support at home.

However, what if you don’t meet the assessment to qualify for the CHSP? Or if you do qualify for it, but need to wait out the required waiting period? Vital Home Health Services, can assist you if you require private home care and support services but do not qualify or do not wish to wait for a CHSP or other government subsidies funding.

Privately funded aged care is the support you receive at home and pay for privately by yourself. Vital Home Health Services can assess what type of in home support you want and provide you with a cost estimate.

Why Privately Funded Aged Care is helpful

Many elderly Australians are able to experience a better quality of life by independently living at home or with family members. However, in home support is ideal to allow elderly people to continue the same quality of life without the need to transfer to aged care home or without needing to place additional pressure on family members who want to continue to live with them.

As a client who requires privately funded aged care, you get to control the quality of life you want to maintain and decide how this care should look like.

What services are included in privately funded aged care?

At Vital Home Health Services we can provide a range of private care including:

How much does it cost?

You can control how much or how little in-home support you need. The cost will also depend on the type of in-home support you require. Some of the privately funded aged care services we provide include:
