My family wish to express our thanks and gratitude for the service and resources provided for my father during his illness. The care and resources provided, allowed my dad to stay in my home for as long as possible during his illness. The care shown throughout this time was exceptional. Vital offers personalised care plans tailored to each client’s individual needs, which means every plan and the associated fees are different. For example, around-the-clock care will cost more than a weekly visit to change a wound dressing.   

Whatever your care needs, Vital can help. You may also be eligible for funding under schemes such as icare, NDIS or DVA.

Our clinical nursing services are available 24/7. You can make a referral here for the types of services you or a family member might need. 

Clinical nurses are advanced practice registered nurses. They are trained in a clinical nursing specialisation, usually learned through completing a postgraduate certificate, and deliver direct clinical care in their chosen specialism. 

There are different levels of nurses depending on their training and expertise. At Vital, we employ registered nurses, which means all our nurses are fully qualified to practice nursing in Australia. Some have completed further studies to become a specialist or advanced clinical nurse (also referred to as a clinical registered nurse). Many home health care providers use assistant nurses who are not as qualified and have less experience when managing your care needs – so it’s a good idea to ask any provider you are considering using about the expertise and accreditations of their home health nurses. 

At Vital, we are committed to staff development for personal and professional benefits. Many of our registered nurses undergo additional study to become clinical nurses, and even those already classed as an advanced practitioner when they arrive with us can continue to learn. We believe all Vital nurses should continually evaluate and refine their clinical nursing practice by incorporating evidence-based strategies and best practices in critical care, to improve patient outcomes.
